Georgia Mae Ryan, age 87, of Broken Bow, formerly of Mason City, died Monday, June 3, 2013, at Heritage Hall Care Home in Broken Bow.
Private family graveside services will be Friday, June 7, at 10 a.m. in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Broken Bow with Father Hugh Spanel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Georgia Mae Ryan was born March 17, 1926, in Broken Bow to Georgia Robert and Ethel A. (Broyles) Cox.
James Richard âJRâ Giles, 72, of Thedford, passed away at his home
Monday, March 4, 2013.
He was born July 9, 1940 to Grover Stanley (Dode) and Alice Aydelotte Giles on the family farm in rural Cherry County in the hay mow, as the roof of the house was being rebuilt that summer. A neighborhood woman served as mid-wife, as there were no roads or doctors.
He was home schooled until third grade, then attended country school until 8th grade. He then attended Mullen High School, graduating in May 1957.
He married Linda Hughes in June of 1962. To this union three children
Yvonne Marie Richards, age 76 of Broken Bow, passed away at her home May 31, 2013. She was born at Pleasant Township
of Cass County Iowa to Albert and Emma Rudig. She graduated high school May 13, 1955, at Griswold , Iowa. May 12, 1955, she married Earl Edward Richards at Council Bluffs Iowa.
While living in Iowa she worked at her brother Richard Rudigs cafe.
She also worked at a hardware store , grocery store and at the school.
James Guilford, age 86, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Funeral services were May 30, 2013, at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with Pastor Bob Winn officiating. Burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements.
James Everett Guilford was born Sept. 8, 1926, to Everett and Helen (Ludwig) Guilford near Sundance, Wyo., on the family homestead.
Elizabeth Corinne (âConnieâ) Prochazka died peacefully in her sleep May 25, 2013. She was 88 years old.
Corinne was born in Norfolk Oct. 28, 1924, to Landon and Freda Chapman. She was one of six children (none of whom are still living). She graduated from Norfolk High School in 1943.
It was during her school years that a teacher misread her name and she was known to many as âConnieâ ever since. After high school, she attended nurses training but decided to become a dental technician.

Marlene J. Samp-LeMon, 72, died suddenly Wednes-day, May 22, 2013, at her home in Fort Wayne, Ind. She worked as a Field Rep at the Chamber of Commerce. âEveryone who met her, loved her.â Always the expressive, vivacious picture of a true lady, this classy, elegant, artistic, creative, optimistic, fun, silly âhostess with the mostestâ adored her family - especially the three grandkids: Ariana and Ethan Pundt (11 and 8) and Carter LeMon (17 months).

Faith Irene (Mattox) Harrold passed away May 23, 2013 in Kearney.
She was a member of the E Free Church in Broken Bow, the last surviving original member of the Senators Extension Club, Royal Neighbors of America Lodge, and was on the Executive Board of Christian Womenâs Club for 30 plus years.
Margaret Ann Glause delighted her parents, Paul and Genevieve Glause when she arrived in this world July 15, 1937, in Halsey. She graduated from Brewster Rural High School.

Lucas John Heusman was born Nov. 29, 1982, in Lincoln to Timothy and Valarie Heusman.
Lucas grew up in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School with the class of 2001. Growing up in Custer County, Lucas participated in Cub Scouts and 4-H. While in high school, Lucas excelled in football, wrestling, and track, lettering multiple times throughout his high school career.
April 13, 2004, Lucas was married to Melissa Walker. To this union two children were born: a daughter, Suzanna, and a son, Jacob.
LeVern Edward Cherry, 80, of North Platte, passed away May 14, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow.
LeVern was born Oct. 24, 1932, at his parentsâ home South of Mason City, to Frank (Pop) and Anna (Supanchick ) Cherry. To this union LeVern was born the fourth of six children; brother, Evert Cherry; sisters, Ethel McAlevy, Helen Young, DeLoris Smith, and Clarrena Overholser.
