Volleyball: Ansley-Litchfield wins Loup Valley Conference tournament.

Ansley-Litchfield took home the Loup Valley Conference crown, beating Twin Loup 3-1 in the finals. This was the fifth time these two teams have faced each other this season. Twin Loup is still the only team to beat Ansley-Litchfield, who's record now stands at 22-1. Arcadia-Loup City took third after beating Mullen 3-2 in the third place game. Lord's Acre pancake feed

The Weissert Church of God Lord's Acre Pancake Feed will be Wednesday, October 17, at the 4-H Building in Broken Bow. Ham, eggs, and all the pancakes you can eat will be served from 5:00-7:00pm. Adults $6.00, children $3.00. Please join us for food, fun and fellowship.

Will the real Bo Pelini please stand up?
I’ve been waiting to write this column since the season started and now I have enough ammo to back it up.
If the Ohio State game on Saturday didn’t do enough to wake up the general population of Nebraska fans, I don’t know what will.
It proved something that most of you may recognize but don't want to admit it or face the fact.
The fact that Bo Pelini just isn’t that great at coaching defense.

Addison Grace & Austin James Lechtenberg

Kyle and Tiffany (Girardin) Lechtenberg of Spencer are proud to announce the arrival of their twins, Addison Grace and Austin James. They were born at Methodist Women's Hospital in Omaha Aug. 15, 2012, with Addison arriving at 3:39pm and Austin a minute later at 3:40pm.
Addison weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces and measured 18 inches long. Austin weighed 3 pounds 14 ounces and measured 17.5 inches long.
They were welcomed home by their excited big sister, Joycin.
Grandparents are Jim and Deb Girardin of Broken Bow and Russell and Susan Lechtenberg of Butte.

Scarlett Madison Sloggett

Aaron Sloggett and Jill Rivera, of Littleton, Colo., proudly introduce their baby girl, Scarlett Madison Sloggett, born Aug. 29, 2012, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo. She weighed 5 pounds 13 1/2 ounces, and measured 18 3/4 inches at birth.
Proud grandparents are Leonard and Jo Rivera of Denver, Colo., Kent and Wendy Sloggett of Broken Bow, and Annett Hanshew and Kevin Butler of Colorado Springs, Colo.
