Rain and favorable weather conditions led fire officials at the Bessey Ranger District of the Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands (NNFG) to predict 100 percent containment of the Natick Fire by later today.
U.S. Congressman Adrian Smith of Nebraska’s 3rd District stopped by the offices of the Custer County Chief Tuesday. Smith was on a mobile office tour as well as meeting with supporters later in the day.
A Trotter's fertilizer truck rolled over at 444 Memorial Drive in Broken Bow. The driver, a 51-year-old male was taken to Jennie Melham Memorial Hospital, a half mile east on Memorial Drive. No information was provided stating whether a fertilizer leak had occurred.
Work is scheduled for Hwy.2 between Ansley and Mason City, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR). Weather permitting, work will begin Apr. 24 for concrete repair and asphalt overlay from RP 296+09 to RP 301+73 on N-2.
