The staff of the Custer County Chief works hard to serve its readers and advertisers throughout the Central Nebraska area. Our newspaper and website are issue driven and fair. They offer readers a balanced view of the historical record of the week. Chief employees are encouraged to provide customers with excellent customer service and to play an active role in the communities they serve. We cover 13 high school districts (eight counties) like no one else across the Central Nebraska Regions.
