Ansley-Litchfield Volleyball finishes as District Runner-Up, State Trip likely on wildcard points

November 1, 2012

Ansley-Litchfield's Taylor Pickar (34) and Jessica Bristol go up for a block during their match against St. Marys Thursday night. St. Marys walked away with the 3-0 victory to earn the district championship.

Burwell -- Ansley-Litchfield's long winning streak came to an end Thursday night with a 3-0 (26-24, 26-24, 25-18) loss to St. Marys. Ansley-Litchfield will likely be on their win to state due to the fact that Howells-Dodge and Sutherland both won their matchups. The Spartans will likely have enough wildcard points to advance.

Check the website for updates on this situation and in next week's edition of the Custer County Chief.
