Broken Bow is gearing up to welcome back high school alumni, as the annual Alumni Weekend is set for July 12 and 13.
Alumni weekend will get started Friday, July 12, with a time to meet and register at the kick-off event from 4-7 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Hosted by the Broken Bow Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors, the kick-off will feature wine and cheese and a chance for alumni to get reacquainted.
Registration will again be open Saturday morning from 9-11 a.m. Bus tours of Broken Bow will be offered from the Municipal Building beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The all-alumni luncheon and distinguished alumni presentation will be at noon Saturday, also at the Municipal Building. Tickets for the luncheon must be purchased in advance, and can be bought at the kick-off event Friday night or registration Saturday morning. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The 2013 distinguished alumni is Dr. Jerry Vaughan. He will be presented with the award and will be the keynote speaker at the all-alumni luncheon Saturday.
For those alumni wanting to visit the middle school and high school, the buildings will be open from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. North Park School will also be open allowing alumni to see the new addition and renovations.
