Boys Subdistricts begin tonight

The boys basketball post season begins tonight with five area teams in action tonight. In the Class C2-10 subdistrict at Kearney Catholic, three teams, Ravenna, Arapahoe and Shelton are rated among the Top 10 in C2. Also in the district is South Loup (13-6) who plays Burwell (16-4) at 7 p.m. tonight with the winner advancing to play top seed Ravenna (17-5) Tuesday night. Also Tuesday, Arapahoe (20-3) plays Shelton (19-2).
In the Class D2-7 subdistrict at Elm Creek, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller will be in action against Wilcox-Hildreth at 7 p.m. tonight with the winner to play Pleasanton Tuesday night. Litchfield will play Loomis in the second game at 7:45 p.m.
The Class D2-8 subdistrict beginning in Broken Bow tonight pairs Ansley against Loup County. The winner will advance to play Sargent Tuesday at 6 p.m. with Arcadia against North Loup-Scotia to follow.
The fifth team to play tonight is the Anselmo-Menra Coyotes who take the floor against Maywood at 6 p.m. at Cozad in the Class D2-9 subdistrict.
Other teams who will begin subdistrict play Tuesday night is Broken Bow at Lexington against Southern Valley, Sandhills/Thedford will play the winner of tonight's SMC/Maxwell game in Gothenburg and Mullen will play the winner of Hyannis/South Platte in Thedford.
