Broken Bow juniors, seniors fall at Kearney

The Broken Bow junior and senior baseball team's dropped to 1-2 and 0-2 starts Tuesday night, losing to ?Kearney Five Points and Kearney Little Ceasers.

Travis Kleeb was the lone offensive producer for the Indians, going 1-1 with a single and scored Broken Bow's only run of the game. Josey Evans had a strong performance of the mound, despite the loss. He struck out two while allowing now runs and no walks.

Jake McCormicks two singles in three plate appearances weren't enough as Broken Bow fell to 0-2 on the season Tuesday night against Kearney. Kearney Pitcher Lincoln Peterson struck out eight Broken Bow batters while allowing one run and five hits.

Jack Smallcomb recorded a two out single in the top of the third, but the rally was squandered due to a groundout. The Indans made another rally attempt in the 4th with RBI's from Hunter Campbell, Smallcomb and McCormick, but it wasn't enough.

Broken Bow plays St. Paul Wednesday night on the road, looking for their first win.
