Broken Bow Will Get New Hotel

March 14, 2013

The Broken Bow City Council approved a motion on Tuesday to allow the use of TIF funding to begin construction on a new hotel. The Cobblestone Hotel and Suites will provide 36 rooms and be located on west Highway 2, east of Trotters.
The proposed plan will include an indoor pool and hot tub, along with a convention center that will accomodate approximately 500 people.
Custer Economic Development President Melissa Garcia compared the hotel to being similar to a Holiday Inn Express in quality and pointed out that this was not a CEDC project, but local investors that saw a need and stepped up to fill that need.
"This is a super exciting project that will benefit the community." Added Garcia.
Construction of the hotel could start as early as the end of the month and the projected finish date is set for October 2013.
