Charles Craig, 62
Charles E. Craig, 62 of Lincoln formerly of Broken Bow, passed to the house of the Lord Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at Bryan LGH in Lincoln.
Services were Aug. 24, at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton with the Rev. Valjean Warman officiating. Burial was at the Belgrade Main Cemetery with military rites near Belgrade.
Mr. Craig was born July 12, 1949, at Central City to Ron and Mary (Davis) Craig Sr. He attended Broken Bow schools graduating in 1967. He also attended several colleges graduating from UNL. He worked for the Department of Health Services as a graphic designer for many years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving in Korea from 1969 to 1971. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He enjoyed stamp collecting, coin collecting, photography, art, woodworking, fishing, gardening and walking his dog, Sparky.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Ron and Vera Craig Sr. of Central City; one brother, Robert Ronald Craig Jr. of Randolph, Iowa; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Neola McAlevy of Ansley, Shirley Craig and Ed Warta of Oconto, Rita and Kim Frith of Santa Maria, Calif., and Nancy Craig of Hastings; step- brothers, Gary and Michele Christensen of Lincoln, and Rich and Dawn Christensen of Omaha, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Craig; brother-in-law, Loren Mc-Alevy; grandparents, Eli and Nellye La Flamme and Jesse and Elizabeth Craig; step- brothers, Dennis Christensen and Kenneth Christensen.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the family.
