Jolene Olson, 63

Jolene M. Olson, 63 of Gothenburg, passed away Sept. 15, 2011, at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1948, to Aaron and Freda (Pitkin) Lindstedt. She was the oldest of three children.
She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Donald D. Olson Nov. 4, 1967, at Tallin Church. They were married for 43 years, and to this union they had four children; Aaron, Collene, Tami and Dustin.
Jolene loved sewing, crafts, music and the animals on her farm. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Don of Gothenburg; children, Aaron (Shannon) of Arnold, Collene (Dale) Vanek of Malmo, Tami (Dave) Smith of Arnold and Dustin of Arnold; brother, Ted (Deb) Lindstedt of Cozad; sister, Peg (Dan) Yancy of Gothenburg; and five grandchildren, Dillon and Anthony Olson, Allison Eggleston, and Madison and Gabe Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Services were Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Tallin Church, with burial at the Tallin Cemetery south of Arnold. Memorials are suggested to the Tallin Church, Tallin Cemetery or the donor’s choice. Arnold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
