Lady Warriors are heading to Lincoln

The Ansley Lady Warriors won the Class D2-4 District Championship defeating Wilcox-Hildreth 44-37 Friday night qualifying for the Girls State Basketball Tournament beginning today thru Saturday. The Ansley Lady Warriors qualified for the Girls State Basketball Tournament after a come-from-behind win over Wilcox-Hildreth in the D2-4 district final.
The D2-4 District Champions trailed the entire first half but were able to take the lead near the end of the third quarter. Both teams traded baskets through most of the fourth quarter until Ansley had two key steals as the game clock winded down to pull in the lead for good. The Lady Warriors won the District Championship 44-37 advancing to the State Tournament.
The Class D2 tournament bracket has been released with the Lady Warriors seeded 6th and will open tournament action against Wynot Thursday morning at 10:45 a.m. at Lincoln Southwest High School.
