Leta Isbrandtsen, 86

Leta Deloris Isbrandtsen, 86, of the Grand Island Veterans Home, formerly of Sargent, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Grand Island Veterans Home.
Services were Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Curran Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chad Bolin officiating. Burial was in the Nebraska Veterans Home Memorial Cemetery with Curran Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Leta was born Oct. 15, 1926, at Milford. She is the daughter of Paul and Clara (Kuester) Wittmuss.
Survivors of her immediate family include her husband, Howard G. Isbrandtsen of Grand Island, and one son, Dennis J. Isbrandtsen of Plattsmouth.
Leta grew up in Milford, graduating from Milford High School in 1945. She was employed at Russell Stover’s Candy Factory as a production worker for five years.
She married Howard G. Isbrandtsen March 24, 1967, at Milford. They lived in Sargent, where Leta was a homemaker and a mother. Leta enjoyed keeping her home and she loved cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Gerald, Kenneth, Willard, Earl and Donald Wittmuss, and one sister, Juanita Patton.
Memorials are suggested to the Grand Island Veterans Home.
