Man arrested after receiving drugs by mail

A Broken Bow Police Department drug investigation led to the arrest of Broken Bow resident, Eric J. Allen, 33, after the Police Service K-9 gave a positive indication that a package addressed to Allen contained narcotics, according to Chief Steve Scott.

Allen was arrested and booked into jail for Possession of Methamphetamine Tuesday, April 30. After obtaining a search warrant for the home that Allen shares with Andrea L. Akins, 40, officers also cited Akins for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chief Scott commended his officers and the Postal Service for working together on the case.

Allen is being held in Custer County Jail with bail set at $25,000.
