Marvin Stanford, 66

Marvin Eugene Stanford, age 66, of Flushing, Mich., died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.
Services were Monday, June 13, 2011, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Mt. Hope Church SLAM Youth Group.
Mr. Stanford was born Aug. 21, 1944 in Merna, the son of Ralph Franklin and Irene Marie (Schultz) Stanford. He married Frances Pitts and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2010.
Mr. Stanford was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors in 1989, after 31 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Hope Church in Grand Blanc, Mich. Surviving are: son, Fred Stanford of Davison, Mich.; two daughters, Juliann (Timothy) Brooks of Flushing, Mich., and Shannon (Brian) Hudson of Grand Blanc, Mich.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Joan (Jim) Daily of El Toro, Calif.; two brothers, LeRoy (Caroline) Stanford of Burton, Mich., and Clark (Elaine) Stanford of Oregon; many nieces and nephews.
His parents and sister, Elaine Griego, also preceded him in death.
