Memorial Day activities planned across region

Ansley - The Ansley American Legion Auxiliary will be serving coffee and rolls at 9 a.m. at the Ansley Community Center. The Memorial Day Service will start at 10 a.m. at the Westerville Cemetery and at 11 a.m. at the Ansley Cemetery. A dinner sponsored by the Legion Auxiliary will follow at the Community Center.

Broken Bow - The Veteran’s organizations will be placing American flags on veteran’s graves in observance of Memorial Day the Friday before, May 24 at 6:30 p.m., at the Broken Bow Township Cemetery. In case of rain the activity will take place May 25 at 1 p.m. Volunteers are invited. Please remove your personal flags for the weekend to avoid having the accidentally picked up.

Broken Bow - The Disabled American Veterans and their Auxiliary invite everyone to join them for a Memorial Day Service at the Broken Bow Township Cemetery May 27 at 9 a.m. They will be assisted by the American Legion, American Legion Riders, Daughters of the American Revolution, Veterans of Foreign Wars and their Auxiliaries. In case of rain the service will be conducted at the Veterans Memorial Building at 416 So. 1st Ave. in Broken Bow.

Merna -- Memorial Day services will begin at 10 a.m. at the Merna Cemetery.
