Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Dillon

Kalen Prentice and Douglas Dillon were married in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Columbine Pass on the Uncompaghre Plateau near Nucla, Colo., on July 27, 2013. Parents of the couple are Stuart and Jenny Prentice of Arnold, and Scott and Debbie Dillon of Nucla, Colo.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and attended by her sisters, Cassie Stephens as matron of honor and Tori Prentice as maid of honor. Brides-maids were Aubrey Soester, friend of the couple, and Devin Schimic, friend of the bride.
Toby Pollock, friend of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Brad Dillon, brother of the groom, and Clay Culbreath and Garrette Naillon, friends of the groom. The couple’s nieces and nephews, Kasia and Jaxsen Neal, Max and Hunter Stephens, and Jace and Jaron Bonacquista attended the couple as flower girl, ring bearer, and young groomsmen. Ushers were Chase Prentice, brother of the bride, and Seth Dillon, nephew of the groom. Honored guests included the groom’s grandparents, Paul and Isabel Dillon and Ruth Jensen, and Kathy Ford, aunt of the bride.
The ceremony was performed by Roy Karo, friend of the couple, and was followed by a dinner and a moonlight dance on the mountain. After a honeymoon trip, the couple is spending their summer in Hayden, Colo., but will make their permanent home in Whitney, where the bride will continue her master’s degree through Chadron State College and the groom is a self-employed rancher and hunting guide. The couple is planning a reception at their home in Whitney Aug. 31, 2013.
