Negotiated agreement officially approved, date for Superintendent interviews set

At Monday's Broken Bow School Board, the school board officially approved the negotiated agreement with the Broken Bow Education Association agreement which leaves the base salary at $34,350 for 2018-2019.

There was also discussion on school security, with the Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Fla., on the minds of board members, faculty and administration. "This is something that I think of every day, the security of the school," Superintendent Tom Bailey said. Board member JB Atkins said he was approached by a group that has offered to help with funding security concerns. Board members, faculty and administration expressed appreciation to know that there is a resource available.

March 5 was set as the date for interviews with candidates of the Superintendent position.
