New pool on track

February 24, 2012

As the community looks to warmer weather and impending Spring, thoughts turn to summer and ultimately to the opportunity to swim. This year is no different except that the new swim season will bring with it the opening of the new Broken Bow Aquatic Center. The new pool is pictured above. Over the winter months, the public has watched the facility being built piece by piece, and now the completion of the project is in sight. This facility will boast a completely new design which includes a zero depth entry and multiple play features. These features will include a children’s slide, dump bucket, diving boards, water walk, basketball hoop and large water slide. The facility is, at present, on time and under budget of cost estimate. The facility is slated to open on or about Memorial Day for the 2012 season.
