One to three inches of snow, maybe more, possible by end of day

At 12:04 p.m., Thu Feb 22 2018, the National Weather Service office out of North Platte updated a weather outlook for the Nebraska counties of Eastern Cherry-Keya Paha-Boyd-Brown-Rock-Holt-Hooker-Thomas-Blaine-Loup-Garfield-Wheeler-McPherson-Logan-Custer-Including the cities of Valentine, Springview, Spencer, Butte, Lynch, Ainsworth, Bassett, Rose, Oneill, Atkinson, Mullen, Thedford, Halsey, Dunning, Purdum, Brewster, Taylor, Burwell, Bartlett, Ericson, Tryon, Ringgold, Stapleton, and Broken Bow.

Occasional snow will continue this afternoon. Snow could be briefly heavy at times. Total accumulations of 1 to 3 inches can be expected by the time the snow ends late this afternoon.
Isolated amounts of up to 5 inches are possible where the heavy snow bands persist.
