THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON.
* TIMING...A BAND OF SNOW WILL SLOWLY MOVE EAST THROUGH NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA THROUGH THE LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW WITH LOCALIZED HIGHER AMOUNTS.
* WIND...NORTHWEST WINDS AT 15 TO 25 MILES PER HOUR AND GUSTS TO 35 MPH.
* IMPACTS...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SLIPPERY ROADS.
