December 15, 2010

The 2010-11 Sandhills/Thedford Lady Knights are front row, from left, Courtney Jameson, Tylee Coffman, Taylor Marten, Jonni Staub and Beth Fields; second row, Breanne Bannan, Michaela Miles, Shelby Saner, Kadi McFadden, Kaitlin Marten, Mariah Utter and Sarah Miles; third row, assistant coach Joseph Frecks, Kacie Payne, Megan McLean, Jacy Spencer, Bodell Sherman, Chantelle Milleson, Kassie VanDiest and head coach Scott Leisy.

DUNNING/THEDFORD -- The Sandhills/Thedford Lady Knights return five starters form last year’s 13-8 team for second year head coach Scott Leisy.
The Lady Knights will be led by Shelby Saner who averaged eight points and seven rebounds per game last season. Saner will get help under the basket from Jonnie Staub and Courtney Jameson while Michaela Miles and Tylee Coffman secure the perimeter.
Though the Lady Knights lack size, Coach Leisy says that his team will make that up with very aggressive pressure.
The Lady Knights will compete for conference crowns and will be contenders for district titles.
