City Council approves new police vehicle, tables playground equipment

In a Friday (Feb. 23, 2018) meeting, the Broken Bow City Council approved a $27,875 purchase of a new police vehicle for the Police Department. The original amount was for $28,834 however, Police Chief Scott said they removed things that were not needed from the original order.

The council tabled the discussion and vote on playground equipment for Indian Hills. The council wishes to completely finish the downtown project and 5th avenue project before looking at Indian Hills. Restrooms for downtown are something that needs to be addressed, according to council president Rod Sonnichsen.

The next council meeting is Mar. 13 at 12 p.m.

The council met today as they will be attending meetings in Lincoln next Tuesday.
