Custer County Implement part of merger

Plains Equipment Group is pleased to announce the addition of the following Nebraska John Deere dealerships: • Custer County Implement Inc. in Broken Bow • Elkhorn Valley Implement in O’Neill • GreenIron in Ord • Niobrara Valley Equipment in Ainsworth Effective Dec. 15, 2010, these four stores will be joining Plains Equipment Group, Inc. headquartered in Seward. Our employees want to ensure their loyal customers that going forward you can expect the same great service you’ve experienced over the years! Plains Equipment Group prides itself on being a full line John Deere Dealer of tomorrow. The first stores began in McCook, and Oberlin, Kan., as Southwest Implement in 1981. The McCook region added the North Platte location in 2008. In 1993, the York region was opened and operated as Plains Power & Equipment. The following stores were added to the York region; Osceola in 1996, Seward & David City in 1998, Crete in 2000 and Geneva in 2003. In 2008, the two regions joined to form the Plains Equipment Group Inc. with a goal of structuring the company for long term success and longevity in serving our customers. In 2010, the second phase of development came to fruition as the company opened a corporate office next to the Seward store. Going forward, the business leadership plans to remain focused on continuously improving and evolving in order to provide the most comprehensive customer support in the industry, and thereby becom the most stable and supportive agricultural equipment supplier in the Midwest. In 2011, Plains Equipment Group will be celebrating 30 years in business. As part of their expansion and evolution they recognize the time has come to brand the company to one name. Starting in January they will be known as the Plains Equipment Group at all locations. Along with the name change the business is intensely working on ever improving and evolving their customer service and support. They say they aspire to be the best Ag equipment supplier in the industry and recognize that with technology advancements in the industry this aspiration will be a continuous improvement process.
