Nola (Leach) Rosentrater, 78

Nola G.(Leach) Rosentrater was born in Lantry, S.D., March 19, 1934, to Mildred A. and Conrad A. Leach. Her parents and two brothers, Darrel C. Leach and Dale L. Leach, preceded her in home-going. She is survived by four brothers, Robert E. Leach, Allen L. Leach, Eddie L. Leach, and Paul E. Leach; and three sisters, Donna M. Paden, Carol L. Traube and Joyce I. Baars .Most of Nola’s growing up years were spent on farms with her parents and siblings in the Arnold and Callaway area. The Leach family abounded in love toward one another and Nola enjoyed the good relationship that she had with her family throughout her life, eagerly attending all family reunions and travelling with her sisters.Nola graduated from Arnold High School in 1951, and taught for two years in a one-room school house near Broken Bow. August 28, 1953, Nola married Paul Rosentrater, who survives, and for nearly 60 years, was a supportive and loving wife to Paul. They served together in various churches and ministries in Colorado. Nola also was employed for 20-plus years by Colorado Farm Bureau as an underwriter.Nola and Paul were blessed with two children: a son, Dan Rosentrater and wife- Linda Hogsett, and a daughter, Debra Rosentrater and husband Stephen Swihart. Nola cherished her children and her devotion to her six grandchildren is legendary. It is difficult to recall a soccer game, a school program, or a graduation that she did not attend. She will be greatly missed by Donny Rosentrater, Marcus Rosentrater and his wife Mary Beth Rosentrater- Byram, Stephanie Swihart, Bethany Rosentrater Fernandez and her husband Stefan Fernandez, Melissa Swihart and Christina Swihart.December 12, 2012, in Thornton, Colo., Nola went to be with Jesus, the giver of Eternal Life. Friends and family look forward to the day when, with Nola, “we cast our crowns before Him, lost in wonder, love, and praise” (Charles Wesley).Memorial contributions can be made to: Hope Ministries, Inc. 6437 Wolff Street Arvada, CO 80003Published in Custer County Chief, Dec. 27, 2012
