Voters turning out for mid-term election

Staff Writer

By 4 p.m., nearly 800 people had voted at the Broken Bow Municipal building. Poll workers reported that they have been very busy and at times most all voting booths were occupied.

“They (voters) were lined up and waiting to get in at 8 a.m.,” one poll worker said.

Polls in Custer County will be open until 8 p.m. (Nov. 6, 2018).

Unofficial results will be available sometime later.

All write-in votes must be counted by hand. In addition, there is a large number of early voter ballots. Custer County Clerk Constance Gracey said those ballots may not be fully counted until sometime Wednesday.

Official results will be available by the end of the week.
