At the Broken Bow Homecoming Bonfire Wednesday evening (9-5/18), Physical Education teacher Ryan Wetovick won the first segment of the "Teachers Got Talent" competition for Homecoming 2018. Wearing a denim jacket over jeans, Wetovick whipped off the jacket and threw it to the ground revealing a Number 24 t-shirt as students cheered.

Mike Miller, Science teacher, was second, wearing denim bib overalls over a Hawaiian print shirt and wearing a sunflower boutinere. Coming in third was Jordyn Knight in a fushia and pink strapless gown layered with tulle.

Also competing were Spanish teacher Emily Glause wearing a pink chiffon floor length gown with a sequinned bodice; Superintendent Darren Tobey in a red sports jacket with narrow black lapels, black shirt and black pants with a red belt, red and black hat, black sunglasses and black cane; Ag teacher Maggie Louthan accessorized her floor length strapless Carolina blue and silver gown with cowgirl boots; and Shawna Schweitzer wore a knee-length white and vine patterned spaghetti strap dress accessoried with white tennis shoes.

Wetovick was the last competitor to walk the runway. “The competition was really stiff. I had an advantage going last. I knew what was going on and I saved my game plan,” he said.

"Teachers Got Talent" competition will continue at Friday afternoon's pep rally on the north side of the Square in Broken Bow Friday afternoon.
